Paul Maingot
Paul has an extensive digital background that spans over two decades. He has been a key part of various digital teams, from R&D to product and operations. He has also traversed across various digital agencies and worked in Ottawa, Toronto, New York and Copenhagen.
Most recently, he spent 4 years as Lead Technical Producer at SPACE10, IKEAโs external R&D lab. In that role he conjured up new ideas and concepts to forge strategic direction for IKEAโs spatial computing work.
Amongst other things, he was product owner for IKEAโs Global Augmented Reality app, IKEA Place. Running point on managing dev-ops and various R&D tracks, allowing true innovation for both technologies and design.
My role at Elsewhere
As the Emergent Technology and Operations Lead at Elsewhere, I play a multifaceted role where my responsibilities encompass two core areas: staying at the forefront of technological advancements and ensuring the efficient operation of Elsewhere's partnerships and internal processes. These two aspects of my role are interwoven, with technology research informing operational improvements and strategic decision making.
Emergent technology
Technology Scouting & Research: Continuously monitor and identify emerging technologies, trends, and innovations. Evaluate the market readiness and potential adoption of these technologies. Analyse their applications, advantages, limitations, and risks, providing valuable insights to the Elsewhere team.
Landscape Analysis: Stay abreast of industry leaders, venture investments, and startups to understand the adoption of emerging technologies. Gather insights to inform Elsewhere's strategic direction.
Emergent Technology Lead Generation: Take a proactive role in identifying new potential partners for Elsewhere, particularly those utilising emergent technology in a people-centric manner.
Emergent Tech Community: Maintain a network of freelancers and consultants specialising in emergent technologies. Deploy these experts on Elsewhere projects as needed.
Emergent Tech Projects: Assume a leadership role in project bursts where emergent technology plays a significant role, guiding their successful execution.
Operations
Project Quality: Ensure smooth workflow operations, timely project delivery, and the maintenance of high-quality standards.
Project Efficiency: Collaborate closely with project teams to streamline project execution and optimise processes, prioritising efficiency and a people-first approach.
Project Expertise: Work with team members and stakeholders to ensure the availability of the right skills and expertise for successful project execution.
